Deep Water Horizon Oil Spill

ECS was the lead consultant and oil spill advisor for the pro-active efforts of the City of Gulf Breeze, Florida.

The primary concern of Gulf Breeze was to protect residential property and natural resources during the Deep Water horizon Oil Spill

 

 

Several events were held for the community and one event managed 650 volunteers. Pall Membrane Corporation donated their excess oil absorbant material to help the community create make-shift boom to help during the oil spill.

ECS led community projects throughout the Deep Water Horizon Oil Spill.

 

 

The City of Gulf Breeze cleaned up oil in Pensacola Bay around Gulf Breeze until assistance arrived.

ECS and Coastwatchers (a citizen volunteer group from Gulf breeze) scheduled watch times to search for oil in Pensacola Bay. 

• Coastwatchers- ECS put together and advised the large community coast guard trained volunteers to monitor various locations, daily and hourly, in Pensacola Bay for the presence of oil. Any oil sitings were reported to Gulf Breeze dispatch and unified command.
